Hypercraft Appoints Defense and Intelligence Executive Sam Houston to Advisory Board

PROVO, Utah — Hypercraft, a developer of advanced flexible UGV mission platforms powered by high-performance hybrid-electric propulsion and software-defined vehicle architectures, today announced the appointment of Samuel “Sam” Houston to its Advisory Board.

A retired U.S. Army officer and current CEO of Intrepid Worldwide, Houston brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning defense intelligence, electronic warfare, advanced analytics, technology integration, and strategic growth. His appointment strengthens Hypercraft’s capabilities as the company expands its presence across defense and commercial markets.

Houston currently leads Intrepid Worldwide, a business intelligence and human-governed artificial intelligence firm focused on helping executive leaders and global organizations transform complex, multi-source information into actionable strategy. Previously, he held senior leadership positions across the defense industry, including Vice President of Growth for the Cyber Mission Sector at Peraton, where he led market expansion efforts supporting critical national security and intelligence programs. He has also held leadership roles with Northrop Grumman.

“Sam brings a rare combination of military operational experience, defense-industry leadership, strategic intelligence expertise, and technology-driven business development,” said Brian Bowers, CEO. “As Hypercraft continues to advance our mission-platform capabilities and high-performance technologies, his perspective will be invaluable in identifying new opportunities, strengthening strategic relationships, and accelerating our growth across critical markets.”

Throughout his military and civilian career, Houston has worked at the intersection of defense operations, electronic warfare, intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies. He is also a patented inventor in mobile geolocation technology.

“I’m excited to join Hypercraft’s Advisory Board at such an important point in the company’s trajectory,” said Houston. “Hypercraft is developing an innovative open software platform, in addition to their proven power and drive technologies with the potential to reshape how high-performance platforms operate across defense and other demanding environments. I look forward to working with the team to identify strategic opportunities and help bring these capabilities to new markets and mission applications.”

Houston holds an M.B.A. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a B.S. from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP)® and has completed executive education programs through the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
