Hypercraft Appoints Brian Bowers as Chief Executive Officer
PROVO, UT – December 10, 2025 – Hypercraft, a leader in advanced electric and hybrid powertrain technology, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Brian Bowers as Chief Executive Officer. Bowers succeeds founder Jake Hawksworth, who will transition to the new role of Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Product Officer, where he will focus on product strategy, extending key partnerships, and next-generation technology development.
This leadership appointment is designed to accelerate Hypercraft’s next phase of growth, scaling its defense technologies related to unmanned ground vehicles and surface vessels, while leveraging its advanced propulsion technologies across the defense, marine, performance, and commercial sectors.
At its founding, Hypercraft worked to establish itself as a pivotal force in simplifying electrification. The company developed complete hybrid and electric powertrain solutions made in the USA, including motors, battery systems, and intelligent software that empower OEMs and integrators to bring visionary mobility solutions to life. Under Hawksworth’s leadership, Hypercraft grew from a concept into a key technology partner for OEMs and organizations seeking to introduce innovative vehicle platforms without the immense cost and complexity of in-house R&D.

Brian Bowers, who joined Hypercraft in 2023 as President, is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of executive leadership in defense, technology, and complex operating businesses, including Raytheon, Agilent, Maersk, Visible Supply Chain Management, MityLite, and the portfolio companies of Sorenson Capital. He earned a MS Engineering and MBA at MIT, and is widely recognized for his track record in scaling high-growth technology companies and implementing world-class operating processes.
